For most people driving a car is a lot easier than drawing a car. But It really does not have to be. Drawing, like every other human skill, requires patience and dedication. If you really want to learn how to draw a car, you will need practice, dedication and a few guidelines. This article is here to provide the last.

Drawing will require that you make use of the right tools. These will include a sheet of paper on which the car will be drawn on , a pencil which you will use in drawing, an eraser for addressing those inevitable mistakes and finally one willing human being to actually do the drawing-in your case that would be you.

You should also pay attention to the material you use. The better the quality of your drawing materials, the better the results will be. You should therefore ensure that you only use quality paper and pencils. You also need to draw in an environment that is comfortable and properly lit.

With all these attended too you can begin your drawing practice. The process of drawing might be difficult in the beginning. Do not be discouraged by this. Keep at it and your drawing will slowly improve. Your first task should be to draw the basic shape of the car. This can be done with using block shapes as guidelines. Your intent is to draw the broad outline whilst ignoring the details. Most people want to start their drawing by addressing the tiny details immediately. Don’t do this. You should also use light pencil strokes. These will be used as your guides much later. Keep at it until you have a car shape that is satisfactory to you.

Once you are done with the basic shape of the car, the next step is to draw in the wheels. How you draw the wheels should take into account the position of the car. If the position of a car prevents some wheels from being seen then those wheels should be drawn that way. Adding the remaining details can then be done once you have completed all these. Do not be frustrated if your first attempt fails. The more you practice the better you will be. Save the drawing of the car and repeat the attempt the next day. By the fourth day you will be amazed at how much better looking your car now is.
